Pastoral Workers are engaged in helpful practical tasks. Often they will be running the Chaplaincy Coffee Bar (normally called 'The Haven') which is designed to be “a home from home” safe space for personnel to relax in. Whilst Facilities can include TV, WIFI, games and pool table, they all have good coffee and comfy chairs.

Whatever pastoral workers are doing, they are doing it to help make the lives of serving members of the Royal Navy, Royal Marines, Royal Fleet Auxiliary or their families, a little bit better. By being engaged in these practical activities they are placing themselves at the heart of our naval community, so they can be available with time to provide a listening ear if you ever need one.
