Aggie’s Community Waves, Portsmouth

  • Katie White

Community Waves Portsmouth Co-ordinator and Pompey Military Kids Co-ordinator

Katie grew up in West Sussex in a Royal Navy Family before joining the Royal Navy herself - reaching the rate of Leading Hand. After 10 years Katie left the navy to be with her family; husband Phil and her two children.

Katie volunteers with both the RNLI and the Royal Navy Family People Support Team as well as working as an LSA in Portsmouth Primary schools since 2019.

Her personal experience of the Navy, volunteering within the RNFPS and working in schools with a high proportion of service children ensures she understands the family life of those that she works with at Aggie’s.

Always with a big smile on her face Katie enjoys keeping fit, a good crime novel and a good laugh with friends.

  • Elaine Davies

    Family Pastoral Worker

Elaine Davies began visiting the Crossley Centre with her Daughter. This led Elaine to volunteer at the Aggies pre-school when her children were young, after two years Aggies employed Elaine and she now works as a pastoral worker in the Crossley Centre, Rowner.

Always welcoming, Elaine is there with a cup of tea and a listening ear to help families of serving personnel whenever possible. Elaine can be found feeding families during the tea time club, something she thoroughly enjoys.
